Caleb and Timothy helped me pull up two layers of old tile today and then we scraped off the sticky gunk from the windows so we could clean them.

Yesterday I spent some time with Caleb and Timothy from the Korean School of Ministry in Cheonan and we did some of the tear down work. I hired someone to remove two walls and a large window but then we spent time tearing down the extra texture from the ceiling and also worked on pulling off the brown sticky paper that the last person used for decoration on the windows and metal frame. Caleb and Timothy worked really hard on that and got about half way done. They are coming back next week to finish it off. I took pictures from different angles in the room. You will notice one wall looks black. That is from a fire that had been in there previously. The owner told us about it and advised that we get fire insurance just in case. Yesterday my wife took care of that. The last picture shows our entrance windows. Across the hall is a shop that makes traditional style Korean clothing called Hanboak.

Today we paid the final deposit and received the keys for what will be Calvary Chapel Daejeon. I took pictures today of what the place looks like before I start to make renovations to it. In the picture below, our space is on the second floor and the second sign from the left. As we get close to finishing up the renovation, I will have the sign changed.

The next two pictures were the best I could do of the interior. I did not have any more room to move back. It is just one room for now, but our apartment is nearby and so is JinSoo's Institute, so there is other places we could use if we needed extra space for children's ministry. For the first year we will most likely only be having Sunday night and mid-week services since I still have a commitment to teach Sunday mornings in Cheonan. I will also be using this to offer some Bible based English classes for the community.

The final three pictures just show the sign on the other side of the building that will be changed. I am hoping to use the spot to the left of the sign also since a big tree kind of covers the regular sign.

Please pray for Calvary Chapel Daejeon.
